DANSER was represented at the 4th International Conference on Water Management and its Surroundings – Modern Trends in Blue and Green Infrastructure Management through a poster presentation by Nuno Pereira, from Terrawave Innovations.

The poster, entitled “Synthetic aperture radar to monitor wetlands: the Danube Delta case study”, explored the potential of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) remote sensing for monitoring wetlands, using the Danube Delta as a case study.

The presentation highlighted how SAR data can support the observation and assessment of wetland areas, contributing to a better understanding of ecosystem conditions and supporting DANSER’s wider work on freshwater and wetland restoration.

By bringing this approach to an international audience focused on water management and blue and green infrastructure, the presentation helped increase awareness of the project’s use of innovative monitoring tools and their potential application in complex wetland environments.
