On 23 April 2026, DANSER research was integrated into the new permanent exhibition at the Donau-Auen National Park Centre in Orth an der Donau, Austria.

As part of Task 3.3, DANSER partners developed historical GIS reconstructions showing how the Danube River has changed over time. These historical river courses are now featured in the exhibition, projected onto a large satellite image of the present-day national park.

The contribution helps visitors understand how the Danube landscape has evolved and how past river dynamics continue to influence the ecological processes shaping the floodplain today.

By bringing project results into a permanent public exhibition, DANSER extends the impact of its research beyond the scientific community and makes complex historical and spatial data more accessible to the wider public.

The exhibition can be visited at the Donau-Auen National Park Centre in Orth an der Donau. More information is available here: https://www.donauauen.at/besuchen/schloss-orth-an-der-donau-nationalparkzentrum
