On 14 May 2026, DANSER was once again presented at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Science during a lecture for Environmental Science students.

Delivered by Vlatka Vaniček from Adria Innovation Harbour (AIH), the lecture focused on environmental impact assessment, relevant legislation and the practical preparation of environmental documentation, linking academic concepts with professional practice.

DANSER was presented as a real-world example of how EU-funded research can support sustainable sediment management, river basin management and environmental decision-making. The session also highlighted the importance of combining scientific evidence, regulatory frameworks and stakeholder involvement when addressing complex environmental challenges.

By integrating DANSER into the lecture, students gained a clearer view of how research projects can contribute to policy implementation and environmentally responsible planning, while also exploring the connection between academic studies, professional practice and future career opportunities in environmental protection.
