On 1 July 2026, GEOSTUD and the Natura 5 Association took part in the international workshop “Building New Research Consortium for Future Horizon Europe Projects”, organised by the Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development (DDNI) in collaboration with UEFISCDI.

The workshop brought together universities, research organisations, public authorities and private companies to strengthen international cooperation and support the creation of new consortia for upcoming Horizon Europe opportunities.

During the event, GEOSTUD and Natura 5 presented their complementary expertise in areas such as environmental monitoring, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, climate resilience and geotechnical engineering. Their experience within Horizon Europe Mission Ocean projects, including DANSER, was highlighted as a strong basis for future collaboration.

The organisations also contributed to thematic proposal development and consortium-building sessions focused on areas such as aquatic ecosystem restoration, marine habitat mapping, biodiversity and integrated environmental monitoring.

Participation in the workshop helped strengthen DANSER’s visibility within the wider Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters” community, while creating new connections and identifying concrete opportunities for future European research and innovation partnerships.
