In 26 June 2026, DANSER joined the public event “Donauforschung – gestern, heute, morgen”, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Austrian Committee of the International Association for Danube Research (IAD) and the 70th anniversary of IAD itself.
The event brought together researchers, policymakers, institutions and members of the wider Danube research community to reflect on the past, present and future of research and cooperation across the river basin.
Ronald Pöppl from BOKU University presented DANSER in a distinctive way: through a live performance of the project’s “DANSER” song. The performance attracted strong interest from the IAD community and helped introduce the project to potential stakeholders and associated partners.
By combining science communication with a creative format, DANSER brought its work to a broader audience while strengthening connections within the Danube research and policy community.
