On 30 April 2025, DANSER was represented at the EGU General Assembly 2025 in Vienna, one of Europe’s leading events for the geoscience community.
The General Assembly brings together researchers from across the world and covers a broad range of Earth, planetary and space science disciplines, including hydrology, climate science, biogeosciences and natural hazards.
Ronald Pöppl from BOKU University presented DANSER’s the Upper Danube DEMO activities, sharing the project’s work with the wider EGU community and highlighting its relevance to freshwater ecosystem restoration and river basin management.
The presentation helped increase awareness of DANSER among researchers, encouraged further engagement and created opportunities to build synergies with related scientific work and initiatives.
Participation in EGU25 also strengthened DANSER’s visibility within the European research community and supported the exchange of knowledge around shared environmental and water-related challenges.
