On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the Municipality of Orle hosted a knowledge exchange event between the Horizon Europe projects DANSER and SWIM. The event, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and the Adriatic Innovation Center, provided valuable insights into sustainable management practices for the Danube River Basin.

The day began with a visit to Jagodno, where participants toured the green hatchery, a key initiative of the DaWetRest project. The group then proceeded to the Veleševec tributary of the Sava River, gaining exclusive access to the floodplain, a unique and often hard-to-reach area.

The main event in the Municipality of Orle featured a workshop focused on stakeholder involvement in the development of a digital portal as part of the DANSER project. The workshop highlighted the essential role of the Municipality of Orle as an associated partner in the project and emphasized the importance of local collaboration.

This meeting strengthened the partnership between Horizon projects and local communities, contributing to the common goal of sustainable sediment management, water resource conservation, and river ecosystem restoration.
